Caroline Wozniacki Wins After Couple Of Rough Weeks
It's been a rough several weeks for Caroline Wozniacki. First, her engagement to professional golfer Rory McIlroy was called off (in reportedly odd fashion). Then, the 23-year-old former top-ranked women's tennis star lost in the first round of the French Open. But after blowing off some steam during the NBA playoffs, the Woz was back on the court Thursday in a Wimbledon tuneup at the quarterfinals of the Aegon International (a tournament she won in 2009). After a hard-fought, three-set victory over Camila Giorgi, Wozniacki approached the net for the customary post-match handshake with the Italian. But her 22-year-old opponent wanted no part of it.
